Longview, Texas residents have been asking for something like this for years. And while it’s been in the works for a while now, we’re just going to have to continue to be patient as the new restaurant and entertainment facility continues to be built.

We talk all the time about what we need more of in East Texas and besides Buc-ee's and HEB locations the next most common request would be for fun things to do. This new business called Cargo aims to fill that hole in the market as they’re going to offer a little bit of everything for just about every age group.

Tell Me More About Cargo in Longview, Texas

Their Facebook page has been up for a while which is why we know this facility has been in the works for a few years now. According to their sign, Cargo will be a restaurant and craft cocktail bar, offer a private event venue, have a third-floor roof deck, live music amphitheater, 18-hole putting course, pickle ball courts, and even have a splash pad and kids' area.

What’s With the Name Cargo?

As you will see in the pictures, the main building is built out of cargo shipping containers that have been repurposed. It’s a clever idea and will help the building stand out at its location 3171 Nealy Way in Longview, TX 75605.

No Grand Opening Date Set Yet

While everyone would love to have something like this open, like yesterday, everything takes time. I’ve seen comments on their Facebook page hoping to have the Grand Opening in October. But that is if everything stays on the current timeline, and we know that doesn’t always happen. Although no matter when Cargo eventually opens, there will be lots of people in East Texas lining up to have some family fun.
