Blue Bell Brings Back King Cake Flavor... Only in Louisiana

If you remember an article we wrote last week begging Blue Bell to bring back the Mardi Gras King Cake flavor this year, you'll be happy to know they actually obliged! Sort of.

According to Wide Open Eats, Blue Bell released the flavor quietly last week - only in Louisiana. My first instinct is to hop in the car and drive straight to Shreveport as it's only about 1 1/2 hours away. But alas, I have to work for my ice cream money before I can just go buy it.

Mardi Gras King Cake is cinnamon ice cream with pastry pieces, candy sprinkles, and vanilla icing swirled in.

Mardi Gras is coming up and Fat Tuesday lands on February 13, a day before Valentine's Day. That means a lot of heart-shaped chocolates and antacids will be floating around. To be extra special to your man or lad, just get them this ice cream and let 'em know you searched far and wide for it.
